Marathon Training Runs
Frontrunners marathon training has officially started. Join Corbin on increasingly longer 'fun' runs on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm at the Totem Pole. The next run will be 8 miles on Thursday, July 17, and the following Thursday it will be back down to 6 miles. On July 31 it'll jump up to 10 miles. Get ready 'n' sweaty.
July Focus Race
The July focus race is the Waterfall Glen Xtreme 10, a challenging 10-mile trail race in the suburb of Darien, IL. It will take place on July 26th at 8:00 AM. The course winds through the beautiful Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve, primarily on a path of crushed limestone, with a cross-country style grassy field at the start/finish area. There are a couple of long steep hills in the race, though the path is primarily rolling.

Red Dress Run Recap
Our Red Dress Run was a huge success in what may turn out to be the first of many. About two dozen members donned red dresses on July 5. Many who showed up were fitted on the spot by Gisele and Marilyn off two laundry lines draped with various dresses. From sultry to traditional, everyone was able to 'get their gown on.' And there were souvenirs, too! Many thanks to Gisele B and Marilyn B and the tremendous effort they put into this event.
